Marieke van den Dool

Lawyer and partner of a Dutch maritime law firm, Boonk Van Leeuwen Advocaten, specialized in commercial contracts, legal advice and litigation/arbitration in the field of (international) trade and industry with a special focus on newbuilding and refitting projects. My work varies from negotiations and dispute resolution over construction, conversion, refit, repair/maintenance and sale/purchase-contracts of seagoing and inland navigation vessels (including small yachts to superyachts), as well as advisory work on related matters like refund guarantees.

Since October 2022 I am active as a Board Member of UNUM Transport Arbitration and Mediation, a Dutch renowned foundation for dispute resolution that has offered a platform for conducting professional (E-)arbitration proceedings and mediation in the same fields of practice (including shipbuilding) for many years.
