Mara McDaniels

Mara Blagojevic McDaniels has over 10 years of experience in the Maritime industry. She graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY, and is a Active Duty Coast Guard veteran. During her tenure with the Coast Guard, she worked on inspections of US & foreign-flagged vessels mainly barge, small passenger vessels, ferries, etc., container inspections, terminal inspections, SMS Audits, and preparing and evaluating reports upon completion of physical inspections. She is still an active reservist as a Lieutenant at Sector New York as the Logistics Department Head. In her current role, she is a Senior Marine Risk Consultant at Allianz, where she has experience in providing loss control services and coordinating global risk management initiatives for multitude of marine lines of business. She is currently pursuing her MBA as a full-time student at St. Joseph’s University, and is an active member of TAPA and AIMU.
