Konstantinos Tsetsos
Dr. phil. Konstantinos Tsetsos studied Political Science, Modern and Contemporary History and Law for Social Sciences at the Ludwig-Maximilian-University of Munich. He completed his doctorate with summa cum laude in 2014 at the University of theBundeswehr Munich on conflict outcomes in asymmetric conflicts with the thesis “Vengeance of the Melians: A theory of conflict outcomes in asymmetric conflicts”. Konstantinos Tsetsos is co-author of the book The Nature of Sea Power: International Relations in the Maritime Environment of the 20th and 21st centuries and author of numerous articles, contributions and analyses on maritime security, future scenarios and security policy. Konstantinos Tsetsos researches questions of international politics,especially international security. His work includes contributionsgeopolitics, theories of war and asymmetric wars, research into the causes of war, hybrid warfare, political risk analysisstrategic foresight, future analytical security policy,scenario analysis, maritime security, civil-military cooperation,disaster and crisis management. Dr. Tsetsos is Head of Foresight at the Metis Institute for Strategy and Foresight and advises theand foresight and advises the BMVg on strategically relevant questions ofcurrent and future international policy. His expertise and years of experience in research make Konstantinos Tsetsos a sought-after expert in selected NATO and EU working and research groups. In this context, Dr. Tsetsos is involved in the NATO Modeling and Simulation Group 147, the NATO SAS System Analysisand Studies 171 as an expert. For the EDA, from 2019 to 2022, he led the research project “Common Operation Picture in Disaster andCrisis Management”.
