Lars Henneberg

After serving as a commissioned officer in the Danish Army Lars got a master’s degree in law at the University of Copenhagen and spent 6 years as an Attorney at Law at the Danish law firm, Plesner. In 1998 he joined Maersk Oil, where he, after 5 years of posting in Qatar, became the General Counsel and Head of the Corporate Legal Department. After being with Maersk Oil for 12 years Lars moved to the A.P. Moller-Maersk group in 2010, where he became Vice President and Head of Global Risk Management. He still holds this position today, as well as is the Managing Director of Maersk Insurance A/S. In addition to these roles Lars is also Chairman of the board at the Danish Shipowners’ Accident Insurance Association, Board member in NorthStandard Reinsurance Limited, as well as Chairman of Danish Shipping’s Assurance Committee.
