After a long journey or a short ride to Berlin, the “Welcome Reception” is the formal start of the upcoming conference. Participants from all over the world meet for their first exchange.

The Museum of Communication.

The museum’s atrium with its stunning glass dome roof and the communications gallery are designed to inspire, and the communication comes perfectly naturally.

Flying food and drinks will be served, take a seat for a talk in the lounge area, walk and talk in the atrium and gallery or take the advantage to visit the museum’s treasury!

The treasury includes the “cosmos stamp”, which accompanied cosmonauts into space, as well as the first telephones and the most famous stamps in the world: the Blue and Red Mauritius.

Evening for the delegates, participants, and guests of IUMI 2024

The listed monument former warehouse I of the Westhafen Event & Convention Center (WECC) invites you to celebrate.

The in-house caterer will delight us with the highest culinary specialties and palate tickling at the seated dinner.

At the water’s edge in front of the WECC we will have the stunning outdoor area to relax, enjoy and review the conference.

After the dinner, the band JCB will accompany us until after midnight to dance and celebrate 150 years of IUMI.
